Flamenco for the stage
The flamenco you usually meet on the Côte d'Azur is tablao flamenco: a succession of pieces, a dancer, a guitarist, an hour that goes by. We do something else. Our shows are written and staged — there is a story, characters, a dramaturgy that holds the room from beginning to end.
That does not mean the tradition is treated lightly. The compás is held, the palos are those of the repertoire, and the dancers we invite come from Spain. But here flamenco serves a purpose: the history of Spain in Sangre y oro, the fate of Spanish women in Bandoleras, confidence and closeness in Íntimo.
Our voice moves from cante jondo to rap without losing the thread, and the bass comes as much from rumba gitana as from reggae. This is not an affectation: it is what keeps an audience that had never heard flamenco in their seats to the end, while a connoisseur finds what they came for.
What we play
- Soleá and soleá por bulería
- Bulería — often the finale, everyone together
- Tangos and tientos
- Alegrías — the joy of Cádiz
- Martinetes — bare cante, without guitar
- Zambra — the eastern roots
- Rumba and sevillanas
- Original compositions by the company
On stage
Vocals, flamenco guitar, cajón and percussion, saxophone and flute, bass and double bass — and, depending on the show, two to four guest dancers and singers.
Five creations, from Nice
Every show is built by the company and premiered in Nice before touring.
